Backfield In Motion is an extended learning program dedicated to at-risk, low-income, and students at Metro Nashville Public Schools K -12. It is a 501 © (3) organization. As a staff, we are data driven to ensure that all students are growing and achieving in reading and math, student attendance, and positive behavior while in-school. In the out-of-school time, we push excellence through tutoring, homework help, academic enrichment, STEM, Health and Wellness, and Character Education to empower the whole child. We have several partnerships and corporations for community and school involvements that enhance and support our program.

The Teen Author Workshop is a dynamic after-school program for aspiring writers aged 11-18. This workshop offers a supportive environment for teens to explore their creativity, develop storytelling skills, and learn from experienced authors. Participants will engage in writing exercises, group discussions, and interactive lessons, covering essential aspects of writing such as character development, plot structure, and effective dialogue. The program also provides opportunities for teens to share their work and receive feedback, culminating in a polished piece of writing.
