Jackie Hansom

Support Services Director


Since 2016, Jackie has partnered with NAZA to lead professional development and work one-on-one with program sites. In 2019, Jackie joined NAZA’s team full-time, and she is excited to expand her work in support of youth leaders and youth-serving professionals citywide.

Jackie is most passionate about fostering youth-driven community change. She has a background as a classroom educator in special education, language arts and history at the middle and high school levels. She continues to collaborate with many former students on community initiatives. Jackie has extensive experience directing community and volunteer events, and she created the first-ever volunteer management program within Teach For America.  She has travelled nationally for the past five years with Move2Stand of STARS Nashville, helping lead anti-bullying programs and youth leadership summits. In 2016 Jackie helped found Write Creations Group, LLC, partnering with organizations to facilitate youth development trainings and refine youth development resources.

Jackie has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University and a Master of Philosophy degree in Race—Ethnicity—Conflict Resolution from Trinity College, Dublin. Outside of work, Jackie serves on the planning committee for the Conference for Neighbors and volunteers with organizations such as the Nashville Symphony. She enjoys creative cooking collaborations, community events and time outdoors with her dog Eula Mae.
