Deana Washington was born and raised in Bellevue, Nebraska and joined NAZA in 2021. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Creighton University in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish & Hispanic Studies. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She has a passion for community and is a graduate of the second cohort of Inclusive Community’s LeadDIVERSITY program. Deana has experience as a classroom teacher, and as an out-of-school professional with Boys & Girls Clubs and Girl Scouts.
