Nashville International Center for Empowerment
All virtual programs are open to youth enrolled at any MNPS middle school. However, if/when virtual afterschool programs return to an in-person format, an in-person option will ONLY be available to youth enrolled at the listed associated school(s).
Total Kids Empowerment Program (T-KEP) is an afterschool experience designed to provide a supportive, welcoming atmosphere for students from diverse backgrounds. The program focuses on social and emotional well-being, college and career exploration, academic support, cultural awareness and English literacy. While the majority of participants are English Learners from the immigrant and refugee community, the program is open to all youth. Our goal is to cultivate culturally responsive relationships that support the integration of newly arrived youth from the international landscape. In this program, youth will learn how to identify their personal strengths, create intentional relationships, and leverage those strengths and relationships to make constructive, respectful choices.
