Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs), Regulation, & Resilience
This training series introduces participants to a practical framework of trauma-informed, equity-centered school practices that you can use immediately. The interaction between biology and life experiences (such as relationships and environments) can shape a child’s developing brain and body, leading to healthy or very real barriers to optimal development. Many of our students, particularly in today’s world, bring life experiences of stress, adversity, or trauma into the classroom.
In this session, we discuss the prevalence and issues related to positive and adverse childhood experiences, including societal trauma, and how they can manifest in schools and impact learning and school success. Facilitator: Eli Foster, MNPS Trauma Informed Specialist.
