Lights On After School – Nashville International Center for Empowerment

Join us as youth present books themes like friendship, diversity, and inclusiveness and connect them to the importance of afterschool and out-of-school time. They will create social media posts, posters, and art work to display. The students will also perform exerpts of their book at the event. Attendees and youth will be invited to write or show on a light bulb cut out why after school programs are important and what they accomplish. We want attendees to understand how after school programs empower refugee and immigrant youth.
