Lights On Afterschool 2024: NAZA Partner Events


Lights On Afterschool is a nationwide event that unites thousands of community organizations and millions of attendees to celebrate and promote the importance of afterschool programs.

Many of NAZA’s partners will be hosting community events in October to celebrate Lights On Afterschool. We hope to see you there!

Beech Creek Ministries | Beech Creek Missionary Baptist Church | 3101 Curtis St. | 5:30pm-6:00pm
Carnival-style games, STEAM activities with a literacy component, food, prizes, and free book giveaway.

Carnegie Writers & Backfield in Motion | Goodlettsville Middle School, Cafeteria | 300 S Main St. | 4:30pm-5:30pm
Youth will share quotes about writing and engage in conversations about literacy and self-expression. They will also share a collaborative story. Click here to view flyer with details.

Global Outreach Developments International | DuPont Hadley Middle School, Room 46 | 1901 Old Hickory Blvd. | 5:00pm-6:00pm
Youth will use their skills to share what they have been learning during afterschool programming.

Youth Changes | Maplewood High School | 401 Walton Ln. | 5:00pm-7:00pm
Youth will showcase vision boards and show off their cooking skills by preparing food for guests. There will also be a trunk-or-treat, face painting, games, and music. View a flyer for more details in English or Spanish.
