Congratulations to Anna Harutyunyan, NAZA Coordinator, who is being recognized by the Riley Institute at Furman University! Anna is one of 16 leaders in the field of afterschool & expanded learning being awarded a prestigious White-Riley-Peterson (WRP) Policy Fellowship. This is a 10-month, national program is designed to equip leaders with a real-world understanding of policymaking for afterschool & expanded learning. “We all need to be creative in how to engage a 21st century child in effective learning in the era of universal access to technologies,” says Anna. “To me, the secret of a ready and successful child is in the methods of learning, both formal and informal.” As part of the fellowship, Ms. Harutyunyan will develop and implement a state-level policy project in partnership with TN Afterschool Network.
