After School Programs

Online Registration Opens August 11th!

Online registration for NAZA-funded afterschool programs will be live on Wednesday, August 11th. Programs are offered at no cost to middle school youth and their families in partnership with non-profit and community-based organizations. Many programs will be in-person, and some may be hybrid and/or virtual.  In-person programming must follow health guidelines, including keeping the recommended small group sizes and providing enough space for social distancing, along with other precautions mandated by the city and the state.

Applications for NAZA-funded afterschool programs are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.  Once your application has been submitted, staff at that program will review it. Response time varies by program but is on average 1 week. If you have any questions, please contact the program directly using the phone number or email address provided.

Testimonial

"My son is high-functioning autistic, so I needed something that he enjoyed. It’s nice for me because I’m not as stressed out trying to make sure that he’s taken care of for that time after school. He loves NAZA and it keeps him active, and he’s made some friends already. I’ve had no problems with him coming home upset; he continually wants to come, be a part of it and do the extracurricular things with them."

“Our previous afterschool program was just hanging at a community center, but it was nothing instructional. It was just a place to keep you for a little bit. NAZA is very instructional for the kids, and I think it will take them a long way in life.”

“Being a single mom, working full time, and by the time I get home and cook dinner, the time is gone, so I’m more at ease because he’s being taught, and they do homework. The staff have been great. They are very enthusiastic and talk to me and make sure I understand what’s happening.”
