Trauma-Informed, Equity-Centered School Practices
This training series introduces participants to a practical framework of trauma-informed, equity-centered school practices that you can use immediately. The interaction between biology and life experiences (such as relationships and environments) can shape a child’s developing brain and body, leading to healthy or very real barriers to optimal development. Many of our students, particularly in today’s world, bring life experiences of stress, adversity, or trauma into the classroom.
This session will focus on a practical framework of trauma-informed, equity-centered school practices that participants can use to build relationships and contexts that help all students learn and experience success in school and into the future. Facilitator: Courtney Jenkins, MNPS Trauma Informed Specialist.
