Smith Springs Regional Community Center

Smith Springs Regional Community Center’s NAZA-funded afterschool program for middle-schoolers is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where youth feel socially and emotionally safe, positive youth development principles prevail, and learning is fun and engaging. We create an out-of-school-time culture where youth can develop untapped potential, feel empowered to learn about themselves, and are given opportunities to engage in their community. Our activity offerings include: STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math), Service Learning, Social and Emotional Learning, Nutrition, Health & Wellness, Literacy, Personal Development and Life Skills. Through project-based learning, extended learning field trips, and enhancement partners, we’re able to empower students and partner with schools to enhance the academic school day.
